What to Expect When You Book with Moreno Auto Glass

If you've never used a mobile auto glass service before, you might not know what the process looks like from start to finish. We want you to feel completely comfortable before we ever show up at your door, so here's exactly what to expect when you book with Moreno Auto Glass.

Getting an Auto Glass Quote and Booking

You can reach us a few different ways: call us, text us, or use the instant quote tool on our website. However you get in touch, you'll always hear back from a real person.

If you call and we're on a job or another call, we'll send you a text right away to let you know we're aware you reached out and will get back to you as soon as we can. We never want you sitting there wondering if your call went nowhere.

If you use the online quote tool, we'll receive your request, verify the pricing for your specific vehicle, and reach out to confirm the final price and get you scheduled. The quote tool is accurate for most vehicles but because of the wide range of features modern vehicles can have, we always verify before confirming.

Scheduling: What the Window Means

When we schedule your appointment we provide a 3-hour arrival window. We know that's a chunk of your day, and we don't take that lightly so we will send a text with our ETA once we are on our way. We ask for a 2-hour window to perform the work itself.

The reason for the arrival window rather than a fixed time is simple: we're mobile, and jobs don't always run exactly on schedule. A previous customer's recalibration might take longer than expected, traffic happens, and we'd rather give you an honest window than promise a time we can't guarantee.

Day of the Appointment

When we arrive, we'll need access to your vehicle and your keys. That's really it on your end.

If you can park the car in a garage or a shaded spot, that's ideal. Arizona heat makes glass and urethane harder to work with, and a cooler surface helps. That said, shade is not a hard requirement. If your driveway is in full sun, we'll work with it. Just let us know when you book if you have shade available so we can plan accordingly.

The Installation Itself

A standard windshield replacement typically takes one to two hours depending on your vehicle, its features, and what needs to be disconnected and reconnected during the process. If your vehicle requires ADAS recalibration, that adds time to the appointment and recalibration is the one step where timing can vary. When everything goes smoothly it can be completed relatively quickly. Occasionally a vehicle needs additional adjustment to get the calibration to pass, and we will not rush that process. Your safety systems need to be right before we consider the job done.

Payment

We keep payment simple. We accept cash, Zelle, and Venmo - all with no additional fees. We do accept credit cards as well, though a small processing fee applies.

For insurance jobs we work directly with your insurer and handle the billing on our end. Any out-of-pocket portion - a deductible or a non-covered service like ting - follows the same payment options above.

After the Install: Drive-Off and Care

We use a 30-minute cure urethane, which means you can safely drive your vehicle within 30 minutes of the installation being complete. You do not need to wait hours or arrange a ride home.

That said, 30 minutes is the safe drive-away time - not full cure. The urethane continues to cure and strengthen over the next 24 to 48 hours. During that window:

Avoid car washes for 48 hours. The solvents in car wash soap interact with curing urethane and can compromise the seal. Hand washing is also best avoided during this period. After 48 hours you're clear.

After You Drive Away: What to Listen and Look For

Once you're on the road, here's what we suggest:

Take it on the freeway with no music. Listen for any wind noise around the new glass. A small amount of sound variation immediately after install is normal as everything settles, but if you hear something that sounds like a persistent whistle or draft, let us know.

Take it through a car wash after 48 hours. This is actually one of the best ways to check for any water intrusion. If you notice any moisture getting in around the glass, contact us immediately. Catching something early is always better than waiting.

Check your rain sensor if your vehicle has one. If your automatic wipers aren't activating, the most common reason is that the sensitivity setting was accidentally switched off during the installation - not a defect. Check your settings first, and if you can't sort it out, call us.

If Something Isn't Right: Call Us

We want to say this clearly: we do not expect problems, but we know that things happen. No shop that does this work long enough will tell you otherwise honestly.

What sets a good shop apart isn't never making a mistake. It's what they do when something needs attention. We want to know about any issue - wind noise, a leak, a mirror, a rain sensor, anything. We will do what we can to make it right. We take earning five-star reviews seriously, and to us that means standing behind our work even when a job needs a follow-up.

Your car should leave our care better than we found it. If it doesn't, that's our problem to fix - not yours to live with.

Call or text us at (480) 742-8999 any time.
